soundsweird is an educational platform for non-formal music learning and experimental approaches to sound for youth in the age 13 to 20. It contains information about six educational modules with workshops that emphasise listening, mutual sound research and co-creation.
LEARN
Six educational modules strive to offer youth a wider understanding of music and encourage creativity and experiment through group improvisation, instrument creation, live digital music, sound art, spatial sound, and field recording. There are manuals for each of the modules, so you can experiment with it in your group, classroom or at home.
soundsweird evolved from Sound Experiments – New Approaches to Non-Formal Music Learning, a two-year international educational project by three European organisations active in the field of experimental music and sound art: KONTEJNER | bureau of contemporary art praxis from Zagreb (Croatia), A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture from Bratislava (Slovakia) and Sonic Acts from Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The project is realized through the support of EU’s Erasmus+ programme.
